Chelou’s already fairly atmospheric ‘Halfway To Nowhere’ has received a fittingly cinematic remix from David Julyan, the composer of such modern Hollywood classics as Memento, The Prestige and Cabin In The Woods.
The spaced out version takes the track in a completely different direction to Ross From Friends’ dancefloor-ready remix of the same song, which was released in February, and will act as the single’s B-Side on a limited 300 press 7” vinyl (LINK).
Since he released 2014’s ‘The Quiet’ EP to rapturous reception across the blogosphere, Chelou’s seemingly unending run of singles have marked him out as a talent worth nurturing.
The Camden-based multi-instrumentalist has been gradually moving his sound away from his singer-songwriter roots as he experiments with a more unorthodox approach that brings to mind Radiohead’s work on the ‘Com Lag’ EP.
Having already toured with an impressive array of artists, including Bloc Party, Thurston Moore and All We Are, Chelou will be supporting the Belgian collective Goose at their upcoming Clash x Metropolis show at Camden Assembly.
In addition DJ and occasional TV personality Eddy Temple-Morris will also be joining the evening’s line up.
