Cheatahs are set to release new double A-side single 'Cut The Grass'/'Kenworth' on October 13th.
Initially pegged as being part of this whole grunge resurgence schtick, Cheatahs rapidly revealed themselves to be something rather more substantial. Now working with the fine people at Wichita, the band entered the studio earlier this year to work on their debut album.
Slated for release in 2014, sessions took place in Cornwall before Cheatahs returned to their native East London. Little has been heard from those sessions, but the group have now signalled their intention to release a one off single.
Due for release on October 13th, 'Cut The Grass'/'Kenworth' is a more shoegaze, noise-pop leaning direction than previous material. There's a feral edge, here, with Cheatahs careful to retain those essential hooks which seduced us first time round.
Listen to it now.
