Arriving in the wake of this week’s announcement of an in-store event with Sundara Karma in their Carnaby Street store, Swedish denim brand Cheap Monday today revealed two exclusive parties to coincide with London Fashion Week.
The two-night affair, which takes place on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th September at Shoreditch Grind, will feature live music and DJs to close the opening days of the capital’s most prestigious celebration of style.
Brighton-based quartet Black Honey will headline the first night (16/9). Their thrilling noise-pop has buoyed many a Clash afternoon, and as they take a quick break from their summer global travels, we’re excited to see them peel back the layers of their hazy, shadowy sound for one night only.
Night two (17/9) sees teenage troubadour Liv Dawson taking to the stage, bringing her emotional and spellbinding talents to East London for a special stripped-back set. Coming just months after she shared a stage with Florence And The Machine at their massive Hyde Park show, this intimate affair should prove no problem to the rising star, whose new track, ‘Still’, will ensure the limited floor space will quickly be filled.
Filling in the sonic gaps on both nights will your humble Clash DJs, with a guest appearance on Saturday 17th from Sundara Karma, who’ll be manning the decks while we take to the dancefloor. Alcoholic refreshment will be provided at early doors by our good friends at Brooklyn Brewery with their finest beer and by Havana Club Rum for the cocktail lovers, Beefeater Gin for those partial to a G&T & with soft drinks to quench your thirst from evian with their new Fruits & Plants range.
Entry is strictly by invitation only. To guarantee your name on the guestlist, RSVP to [email protected] or fill in your details on the form below.
Doors open at 6.00pm and the event runs until 12.30am. Arrive early to avoid disappointment, and be ready to party! Take a look at the Cheap Monday site for their latest collection.
