Chart Round Up

Double Double For Duffy

Welsh wonder Duffy remains at the pole of both album and single charts, keeping top spot on both for the second successive week.

Duffy is an old favourite of us here at Clashmusic.com – read an early interview here. Other office favourites claiming spots in the singles chart this week are Elbow at 19 with “Grounds For Divorce” and Foals’s “Cassius” racing in at 26. Read a review of “Cassius” here.

Lower down the chart, Mystery Jets’ romance-laden duet with Laura Marling, “Young Love”, soared into the top 40 at 34. Over in the albums’ chart Duffy remains at number in a chart shamefully free of Clash favourites. Motown barnstormers Temptations bring their 60s classics at number 8, whilst elsewhere the electro-pop sensations of MGMT sit snugly just outside the top ten at 12.
