The latest UK charts have been announced, and it has been a triumphant week for Clashmusic.com’s favourite artists.
Rihanna is currently perched at number one, with The Ting Tings just behind with “That’s Not My Name” taking second place. The Ting Tings have two releases in the UK Top 40 with “Shut Up And Let Me Go” sitting at number 29.
Elsewhere on the singles chart new entries hit home from Paul Weller and New England afro-beat group Vampire Weekend. The albums chart finds Usher occupying number one spot, with Duffy’s debut album lingering around at number two. The new Pigeon Detectives album “Emergency” zoomed straight into the top ten at number five – the band’s second album in under 18 months. Elsewhere, both Spiritualized and The Futureheads earned top 40 efforts, while hot new indie group Kids In Glass Houses breached the Top 30.
