Chart Round Up – July 28th

Dizzee Reigns Supreme

The charts for this week have been released, and it’s good news for Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris as they hold on to the top spot for the fourth week in succession.

The dynamic duo’s single “Dance Wiv Me” has been one of the summer’s biggest hits, and shows no sign of slipping down the charts. Beaten into second place was American rocker Kid Rock – the former Mr Pamela Anderson has had to make do with second best for new single “All Summer Long”.

Elsewhere in the top ten, The Ting Tings are at six with “Shut Up And Let Me Go” while Madonna is at ten with “Give It To Me”. Further down the charts linger a few favourites of Clash, with Noah And The Whale sailing majestically in at number 14 with “5 Years Time”. The Kooks, meanwhile, are at number 34 with their single “Shine On”.

Over in the album charts, Coldplay begin their world tour at top slot as new album “Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends” rises back to pole position. Abba are at number two with “Abba Gold” while Primal Scream’s latest album “Beautiful Future” is at number eight.

Further down the charts, Brazilian party poppers C.S.S. are at number 32 with new LP “Donkey” while Fleet Foxes re-enter the chart at 38.
