Charlotte Day Wilson Announces Sophomore Album, ‘Cyan Blue’

The Toronto singer, songwriter, producer and multi-intrumentalist shares her latest single, 'I Don't Love You'...

Charlotte Day Wilson has announced her sophomore album ‘Cyan Blue’, set to release on May 3rd via Stone Woman Music / XL Recordings

A powerful force within contemporary R&B, the Toronto singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist is making her next steps. Brand new single ‘ I Don’t Love You’ is out now, a piercing ballad that hits its listener with sheer honesty and introspection, lending its spotlight to a striking vocal performance from Wilson. The track arrives alongside snapshot-style visuals shot by Dani Aphrodite, welcoming us into the world of ‘Cyan Blue’.

Speaking on the upcoming record, Wilson shares: “Before, I was extremely intentional about creating music with a strong foundation, a bed of artistic integrity…”

“But that was a bit stifling, like, ‘Let me just make a great piece of art that will stand the test of time, no pressure.’ Now, I think I’m getting out of this frozen state of needing everything to be perfect. I’m more interested in capturing feelings in the moment as they happen and leaving them in that moment.”

Since making her breakthrough with 2016’s debut EP ‘CDW’, the vocalist has teamed up with the likes of BADBADNOTGOOD, KAYTRANADA and SG Lewis, drawing together her influences in gospel, soul and hints of electronica.

With a 13-track sophomore album on the horizon, ‘I Don’t Love You’ is a stark moment of clarity from Charlotte Day Wilson, exuding pure talent from start to finish.
