Chance The Rapper Drops DJ Premier-Produced Single ‘Together’

The single lands ahead of Chance's new project 'STAR LINE'...

Chance The Rapper has been on a solid run of new singles recently, as he prepares to release his new project STAR LINE.

The latest of these is Together, a DJ Premier-produced cut that utilises nostalgia to share a vital message about housing justice in his hometown of Chicago. Premo nods to this by sampling ‘Memories Are Here to Stay’ by The Intruders, which he also used back in 2000 for fellow Chicago lyricist Common’s ‘The 6th Sense’.

“This is a song about housing justice painted with nostalgia,” writes Chance. “I hope the memories can elevate the core message rather than bury it.”

Chance performed ‘Together’ on The Voice Lives last week ahead of its release, as well as dropping its official video. Both can be viewed below, and ‘Together’ is available on streaming services now.

No date has been announced for ‘STAR LINE’ just yet, but it is expected to be with us sometime soon.
