Central Cee and RAYE combine on new single ‘Moi’.
In a year that has seen online debate about the strength of British music two talents have shone bright. RAYE scooped a record-breaking BRIT haul, part of an independent streak that has seen her blaze a trail on her own terms. Central Cee, meanwhile, is out here conquering the world, a flurry of singles taking his profile to the next level.
Putting the two voices on the same track, then, is an easy win; that new single ‘Moi’ is delivered with such flair and commitment is exceptional.
EINER BANKZ, HARRY BEECH, and EIGHT8 combine for the production, which leans on the UK garage lineage – a sound spawned by the same West London streets Cench knows so well.
The two work perfectly, with RAYE’s soulful finesse acting as a counterpoint against Central Cee’s lyrical bite.
The video is a real event, too, with Don Prod directing the ambitious shoot. Constructed over several days, Central Cee is shown in a fleet of Rose Gold supercars cruising from London to Paris.
Tune in now.
