Central Cee Launches New CRG Radio Show

Exclusively on Apple Music 1...

UK rapper Central Cee has launched his new four-piece CRG Radio show.

The West London force is taking his sound to the world, breaking records in the process. His keenly anticipated debut album ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ is a pivotal moment, and the title forms the crux of incoming project CRG Radio.

A four-piece excursion into his world, it aims to provide a behind the scenes exploration of his creative realm, including chats with the people who have helped shape his rise.

“We’re going to call this the CRG radio.” Central Cee shares. “An abbreviation on my album Can’t Rush Greatness. Me and the guys are going to be taking over Apple Music for a full one hour straight. This is the first of four exclusive shows. I’m doing it on Apple Music. This is the first show, so it should be a big deal.”

The first show launches this week, and features the founders of Trapstar and new music from Headie One, Blade Brown and Nemzzz.

In an excerpt, Central Lee looks back on his teens in Shepherds Bush, and role those West Londo communities continue to play in his life…

It impacted me fully. I think I grew at a mad pace here. I wish everybody knew that I wish I had Bush on my forehead or West London so that they really knew and feel like they’d understand me better. And it still is now to some extent like Shepherds Bush is, I want it to be like a tourist attraction the same way how Drake has people go and the flights might be more, even Vybz Cartel when he came out of jail, the flights to Jamaica went up. I want the flights to go up because people want to come and see the ends, obviously at the same time there’s two sides to it and them two extremes definitely impacted me and my music to the fullest. That’s kind of all I know.

I was proud of the ends from before I even done anything, and even just proud of you (Trapstar’s Mikey, Lee & Will), you have already done so much prayer and it makes me happy to think that maybe more other youths from the ends are feeling that same prayer. They don’t even know me. There was a time where I don’t even know you man, but I’ll say it with pride and I hope that man can do that.

Tune in this Thursday at 7pm GMT only on Apple Music Radio at http://apple.co/_CRGRadio
