Casiokids Firm Up Debut Album

‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ due on January 16th

Casiokids are set to release ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ on January 16th.

Hiding themselves away in Norway, Casiokids have been able to take their time over their debut album. Initially causing a stir with the rattling post-punk meets electro-pop of their early singles, the band have finally polished off an LP.

‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ is set to be released on January 16th, with Moshi Moshi handling the album. Recorded in their own Bergen studio, Casiokids attempted to focus on sessions while a one off show with – somewhat bizarrely – fellow Norwegian group a-ha.

Amongst the guest appearances confirmed for the album include of Montreal members Kevin Barnes, Kishi Bashi and Bryan Poole. Barnes even adds his vocals to ‘Selskapets Triste Avslutning’, while of Montreal even delivered a remix of the band’s recent single.

Hitting the road once again, Casiokids are gearing up for a trip to Japan. In honour of their first ever visit to the Far East, the four piece have covered Kyu Sakamoto’s ‘Sukiyaki’ – the first Japanese language song to be No1 in the US Billboard Charts.
