Casino Hearts have shared new single ‘Ice In Mouth’.
The Reno-formed, LA-based project blended warped digitalism with a fractured take on pop melody – it puts us in mind of those 2k12 witch house mixtapes, but with a feverishly unique approach to world-building.
Debut EP ‘Lose Your Halo‘ was released this summer, followed by a subsequent batch of remixes. Closing 2024 in style, Casino Hearts have just shared their bruised new single in full.
Out now, ‘Ice In Mouth’ finds the trio embracing the plummeting temperatures, the frosted electronics shattering at the slightest touch. Reminiscent in places of Salem, there’s a gothic sweep to Casino Hearts, a sense of damaged romanticism shot through with black.
On the single, Forest shares: “I wrote ‘Ice In Mouth’ after I fell in love during a snowstorm last winter; lots of mouths, lots of snow eating and screaming.”
Tune in now.
