Rising songwriter Casey Lowery has shared new single ‘Blood Related’.
The songwriter’s grandfather passed away in 2023, bequeathing him a caravan in his will. An old holiday home on a remote part of the English coastline, it became Casey’s sanctuary from the city rush, unlocking different parts of his songwriting.
Recent single ‘Low Mood Season’ became a point of introduction, a soothing hymn that almost immediately went viral on its Autumn release.
Debut EP ‘Lekkerland’ is out on March 28th, and new single ‘Blood Related’ leads the way.
A soothing return, ‘Blood Related’ picks apart the meaning of ‘family’, and finds Casey Lowery constructing his own meaning of brotherhood.
Casey comments…
“Just because someone isn’t blood related doesn’t mean they can’t be family. It’s about love and acceptance like a brotherhood. It’s about inclusion, protection and friendship. It also tries to highlight how little you know about emotion until everything around is taken away and how a change in circumstance forces you to adapt and make new decisions”.
