Carrie Brownstein’s Memoir To Become New TV Show

Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl will be adapted...

Sleater-Kinny guitarist Carrie Brownstein's memoirs are set to be turned into a new television show.

The musician published Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl in 2015, an acclaimed autobiography that also traces the career of Sleater-Kinney.

Funny, moving, and continually revealing, streaming service Hulu have now confirmed they are working on a TV adaptation.

Hollywood Reporter explain that a half-hour pilot has been made, and will be titled Search And Destroy.

According to the blurb, it's about “a young woman, a band and a community learning how to be unafraid of their own noise.”

Carrie Brownstein is no stranger to the television world, of course – she's part of the dual-driving force behind multi award-winning comedy Portlandia.
