Carla J. Easton’s ‘NEVER KNEW YOU’ Is A Truly Other-Worldly Document

Tune in now...

Glasgow's alt-pop wunderkind Carla J. Easton is remarkably creative.

An artist who thrives on collaboration, she uses these often happenstance meetings to propel her work.

2019's acclaimed 'Impossible Stuff' was shortlisted for Scottish Album of The Year 2019, with Easton then linking up alongside indie pop doyens The Vaselines.

Joining the group on Belle & Sebastian's The Boaty Weekender, she became close friends with band mate and cruise-comrade Scott Paterson.

The pair set themselves up in CHVRCHES old basement studio in Glasgow, sketching out what would become a torrent of fresh ideas.

New album 'WEIRDO' is out on August 28th through Olive Grove Records, and it finds Carla J. Easton spinning the dials once more.

Hugely creative, it's led by other-worldly single 'NEVER KNEW YOU', a song that opens in bird-song before ploughing into unknown territories.

Bold, direct, and distinctly Scottish, 'NEVER KNEW YOU' is a remarkable return, one that revels in idiosyncrasy.

Tune in now.
