Returning Libertine Carl Barat has announced a third show for March, which will now see him play the Wakefield Escobar twice, and the KU Bar in Stockton On Ness.
Barat announced his first show recently, following the demise of his second band Dirty Pretty Things at the start of the year (watch their farewell interview on Clash Music HERE).
Tickets for the Wakefield date were snapped-up in record time, with an additional date also selling out and a third solo gig now announced. Material for the shows is as-yet-unknown, however he will be joined by little know British musician Keiran Leonard for all the gigs.
Fans of the Libertines were also left disappointed weeks ago, when Pete Doherty revealed in an interview the band had been offered millions to reform for a number of UK festivals this year. However, Barat had been reluctant, with Doherty telling the NME “Carl said I had to go and see an energy consultant, some new age guru who is going to measure my energy levels and see if I’m surrounded by darkness”.
