Camera Obscura have laid out plans for a full UK tour in 2024.
The Glasgow indie pop band remain much-loved, with their catalogue spawning a legion of imitators. Songs like ‘Lloyd I’m Ready To Be Heartbroken’ can never truly be surpassed, however, carrying a spell that is difficult to shrug off.
It’s a full 10 years since the group’s last studio album, but the signs are that Camera Obscura are ready to return. In a new announcement, the Glasgow band have confirmed a new deal with Merge Records, and will hit the road in 2024.
Singer Tracyanne Campbell comments:
“We’re excited to be working again with Merge Records. We are looking forward to sharing new music with our fans and to playing live in 2024.”
The Spring tour opens in Hebden Bridge Trades Club on May 2nd, before hitting Leeds, Manchester, and a special night at London’s KOKO on May 7th.
Camera Obscura will play Brighton’s Concorde 2 on May 9th, with the tour finishing with a no-doubt emotional show at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on May 11th.
