Dream duo David Byrne and Brian Eno have announced plans to release another album together, the NME has announced.
Byrne and Eno recorded a series of influential albums together in the late 70s and early 80s, including three Talking Heads albums that are regarded as forming the bands peak. The 198o album “Remain In Light” was recorded in collaboration with Eno, and includes “Once In A Lifetime” – perhaps the groups signature song.
The NME has quoted David Byrne as saying “I’m finishing up a record with Brian Eno, a musician that I worked with 30 years ago”. The two artists recorded the stone cold classic “My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts” in 1981 – one of the first major albums to make extensive use of samples.
The album is thought to be on the cards for later this year. The article also quotes Byrne as saying that songs recorded with dance guru Fatboy Slim, but that this is still ongoing.
