While 2014 may well have been dominated – in a critical sense – by the creative torrents pouring through instrumental grime, mainstays such as Butterz had a banner year.
Elijah and Skiliam were able to take the label across Europe and beyond, while related nights such as Jamz enjoyed nationwide success.
Launching into 2015, Butterz are set to bring Kano to fabric on January 16th. Alongside this, the imprint are gearing up to release Footsie’s ‘Scars’ – one of their biggest cuts to date.
In essence a salute to Newham Generals, ‘Scars’ features three vintage beats and lyrics from Footsie, D Double E and Wiley. Out on January 12th in an eye catching sleeve, you can pre-order it HERE.
