Burt Bacharach Joined By Adele

Songwriter Stuns Electric Proms Crowd

Legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach defied his 80 years to play a stunning set at the BBC Electric Proms on Wednesday night (October 22nd), joined onstage by Adele, Jamie Cullum and many more.

Bacharach is a true musical legend, with a career spanning over 60 years. The composer played a lengthy set, appearing on piano throughout and even singing some songs, such as the immortal ‘Alfie’, himself. The show in London’s Roundhouse venue was part of the BBC Electric Proms season, and Bacharach was accompanied by the 50-strong BBC Concert Orchestra.

The songwriter has so much legendary material he even had to resort to using medleys to incorporate as many songs as he could. Bacharach was joined by guest vocalists throughout, with British soul songstress Adele proving to be a star turn. Singing ‘Baby Its You’, the singer earned a massive ovation from the crowd.
