Afrobeats kingpin Burna Boy has shared his new single ‘Big 7’.
The Nigerian icon is dominating summer with a series of single drops, all geared to amplify hype towards his incoming album. Slated to be released on August 25th, ‘I Told Them…’ is set to be a blockbuster, and his new single underlines those intentions.
‘Big 7’ is out now, produced by MDS – who also worked on ‘LOVE, DAMINI’ – and it’s a breezy piece of rap music with an international scope. Leaning in on Burna’s thirst for melody, it’s an incredibly catchy piece of music.
“Big 7” is a melodic tribute to embracing new heights in my musical journey,” said Burna Boy. “The title represents a symbolic aspiration to reach greater horizons, with the number seven embodying an attainable and harmonious growth.”
The video was directed by legendary filmmaker Benny Boom, and it features Burna Boy in New York, with cameos from his inner crew the 7G’s alongside Wu-Tang legend RZA, Busta Rhymes, Spiderman actor Shameik Moore, and more.
