Buck Meek has shared two new songs, ‘Cuero Dudes’ and ‘Beauty Open Doors’.
The Texan songwriter is a key figure in Big Thief, while his solo catalogue is littered with gems. Last year’s excellent ‘Haunted Mountain’ won across-the-board praise, a release marked by the death of his ideas.
Out now, sessions for ‘Haunted Mountain’ proved to be extremely productive – in fact, he’s just shared two previously unreleased gems.
‘Cuero Dudes’ and ‘Beauty Open Doors’ are both reflective pieces, dipping into different aspects of his psyche. Showing his range, they’re marked by a singular voice, and neatly compliment the narratives within ‘Haunted Mountain’.
