Bruk Rogers Salutes Broken Beat With New LP ‘Loopholes’

11 tracks of low-end abstraction...

London-based producer Bruk Rogers has shared new album ‘Loopholes’ in full.

The project is designed as a homage to his deep-rooted appreciation of broken beat, and it blends those formative influences with some outward-facing curation. A real labour of love, ‘Loopholes’ works by honouring his foundations, and also daring to add to them.

The Irish-born producer – real name Cian McCann – has a broad catalogue, perhaps more readily known for his work under the DNB bracket. A penchant for bass abstraction shines through on this new record, however, aided by some stellar voices.

Opening ‘South Facing’ finds the exquisitely named Bruk Rogers aligning with ISHFAQ, while other collaborators include ASAP Shembe, MELONYX, and Wipe The Needle.

Thriving on subtlety, he’s also not afraid to engage in a bassbin rinse-out – just listen to the Dread MC aided ‘Murder Sound’ for evidence.
