Bruce Springsteen To Become Fellow Of Ivors Academy

The first international artist to be granted this honour...

Bruce Springsteen is set to become a fellow of the Ivors Academy.

The American songwriter is a true modern legend, someone with an unrivalled catalogue. Having sold more than 120 million records, Bruce Springsteen has won countless accolades over the decade, including 20 (!) Grammy awards.

Set to hit the road with the E Street Band once more this summer, Bruce Springsteen will stop past London to be accepted as a fellow of the Ivors Academy. The move marks the first time the Ivors Academy have granted this honour to an international artist in its 80-year history.

Bruce Springsteen says… 

“I’m proud to be the first international songwriter to be recognised by The Ivors Academy. In addition to recognising my songwriting, the award stands as a tribute to the fans and friends who have supported me and my work for the last fifty years. This entire country has made me feel welcome every step of the way, and for this, I will always remain deeply appreciative.”

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kick off their latest leg of UK shows in Cardiff this May. The band hit London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25th – tickets are on sale now.

Backed by The E Street Horns and The E Street Choir, Springsteen and The E Street Band’s 2023 European tour sold more than 1.6 million tickets — and earned widespread acclaim as some of the best shows of the band’s career, receiving praise from Billboard as “the greatest show on earth”.
