Returning Canadian indie collective Broken Social Scene have revealed the details of their new EP.
Perhaps the most influential group in Canadian music over the past decade, Broken Social Scene’s output has helped transform the country into one of the coolest nations on the indie rock landscape.
Taking time off to focus on a myriad of solo projects, Broken Social Scene reformed last year. Working on new material, the band have confirmed details of a bumper crop of releases.
Alongside their previously announced album ‘Forgiveness Rock Record’ the band are set to release a ten track EP. Due to accompany pre-orders of their new album, the EP will contain ten previously unheard tracks.
Set to be released on May 3rd, the EP ‘Lo-Fi For The Dividing Nights’ was produced by John McEntire. Holed up in Soma Studios late last year, Broken Social Scene laid down a variety of tracks which are now set to accompany their new album.
Alongside internet pre-orders, the EP will be available in selected independent record stores across the United States and Canada. For more information, click HERE.
Meanwhile, Broken Social Scene are gearing up for a visit to the UK. The band are set to play a handful of headline shows alongside a performance at the forthcoming All Tomorrows Parties festival.
Curated by Pavement, the Canadian group are fulfilling the fantasies of indie rock fans across the globe. Sadly, however, ATP has long since sold out!
