BRIT Awards 2023 – Date Confirmed, New Chairman Announced

It's moving to a Saturday...

A date has been confirmed for the BRIT Awards’ 2023 bash.

Next year the BRIT Awards will move to a Saturday for the very first time – a logical move, some would argue. Taking place on February 11th, the ceremony will be broadcast exclusively on ITV and ITVX, the broadcaster’s 30th year platforming the awards.

2022 proved to be a success, with big winners like Adele matched by fiery performances from Ed Sheeran, Dave, Sam Fender, and Little Simz. The awards saw digital growth, in part due to partnerships with YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Roblox, Serenade and more.

Returning on February 11th, the BRIT Awards also welcomes a new Chair, with Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK), assuming control.

Christian says: “The BRITs is the biggest night of the year for the UK music industry, and we want as many eyes on it as possible as we showcase the best and most diverse British talent. Moving the show to a Saturday will breathe new life into the iconic ceremony, while also introducing a new and more engaged audience.”

BRIT Awards 2023 takes place on February 11th.
