The BRIT Awards have drawn to a close for another year, with the ceremony bringing with it a number of talking points.
Love them or loathe them, it’s impossible to avoid them. If you’ve been near a television screen or a social network feed over the past two hours you’ll have realised that the BRIT Awards were taking place in London.
Two awards were given out before the ceremony began, with Tom Odell winning Critics Choice and Paul Epworth scooping Best Producer. On the night, Ben Howards was a big winner as the Communion signing waltzed away with ‘British Breakthrough Act’ and ‘British Solo Act’.
Lana Del Rey won ‘Best International Female Solo Artist’ while Frank Ocean won ‘Best International Male Solo Artist’. The Black Keys scooped ‘International Group’ while One Direction netted the newly minted ‘BRITs Global Success Award’.
Performances on the night included Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard, while One Direction’s Blondie cover ‘One Way Or Another’ drew consternation from Twitter. Full list of winners below.
