Bristol based artist Dutchie has shared her new ‘Satin Planet’ EP in full.
The songwriter recently released on the Jamz Supernova aligned Future Bounce imprint, and returns to Bristol’s female-forward incubator hub Saffron Records for a full EP.
Book-ended by two ambient soundscapes, the new EP features a triptych of exquisite, forward-thinking electronic pop. With a keen ear for sound design, Dutchie also displays rhythmic flex – there’s a real elasticity to the way she approaches space within her music.
‘In Deep’ is a languid digi-pop burner, while ‘Slower’ exults in electronic soul. An intriguing project, the EP pivots between illuminating aspects of songcraft and field recordings, melding together intention and chance.
