Bright Eyes, High Hopes

Conor Oberst Solo LP Due

Bright Eyes and Saddle Creek Records lynch pin Conor Oberst has announced plans for his first solo album in thirteen years, due to be released on Wichita on August 4th.

With a little help from producer and long time collaborator Andy LeMaster, Oberst travelled to Mexico to record the album. Using a loosely organised band of musicians terms The Mystic Valley Band, the collective set about turning the singers sketches into a fully fleshed album.

The result more than meets Oberst’s legendary high standards, following on from his work with Bright Eyes and The Desaparecidos. Signed to long-time home of Wichita Records, the album will be one of the highlights of the summer, with a series of UK tour and festival dates to coincide with its release.

Conor Oberst’s self titled solo album will be released on August 4th. The singer will play the following dates to support it:

August 22nd – Leeds Festival, England
August 24th – Reading Festival, England
August 29th – 31st – Connect Festival, Argyll, Scotland
August 31st – Electric Picnic, County Laois, Ireland
September 12th – End Of The Road Festival, Dorset, England
