Briana Marela has shared new track 'Quit'.
The Jagjaguwar aligned artist took time out recently, studying audio production in Olympia at The Evergreen State College.
This attention to sound rings out clearly on her new material, an attempt to marry the lucid, ambient nature of her production with some stunning pop moments.
New album 'Call It Love' is incoming, with Briana commenting: “Originally, I was trying to make this album have cohesive pairs of songs. Sister songs, where all the ambient songs would have a poppier match, and vice versa.”
Lead cut 'Quit' is a wonderfully low key return, devastating in the softest manner possible. You can find yourself drifting off in the sheer ambience of the production, before a sudden, arresting lyric cuts through the mist.
