The Gaslight Anthem finally curled up and fell asleep earlier this year, with the varied members opting to take a break from music.
Brian Fallon opted to focus on solo material, heading to Nashville to see what came out. Work on a new album commenced, with material due to be released shortly.
Titled 'Painkillers', the songwriter's debut solo album will be released in January 2016. Butch Walker is overseeing recording sessions, with Fallon commenting: "I'm overjoyed to be making this solo record. And I can't wait to go out on the road with the new songs I have as well as to get to play the Elsie album live again!"
The American artist has announced a spate of Stateside shows, with a full European tour expected to follow.
'Painkillers' will be released in January 2016.
