Celebrated American alternative rock group The Breeders are set to release a new single titled ‘Fate To Fatal’.
As one part of Pixies, Kim Deal helped revolutionise American group by writing seminal material such as ‘Gigantic’. However the bassist managed to step out of the shade of the seminal group with her own project The Breeders.
Debut album ‘Pod’ is a bona fide classic, with everything from its sharp songwriting to Steve Albini’s production being utterly remarkable. The band went on hiatus in 1996, but reformed in 2001 to record the album ‘Title TK’.
The group are set to curate a special All Tomorrow’s Parties event in May, taking over the Butlins with a very special line up including Bon Iver, Teenage Fanclub, Holy Fuck and many more. To coincide with the festival appearance The Breeders have recorded a new single.
The four track EP will be titled ‘Fate To Fatal’. Full tracklisting has yet to be released but it is thought that the material will be previously unreleased.
Only 1000 vinyl copies will be made with screen printed artwork. The EP is among a host of new projects the group are undertaking, with Kelley Deal having written the book ‘Bags That Rock’ – a new tome on knitting.
The Breeders are set to release their new single ‘Fate To Fatal’ at the ATP event which takes place between May 15th – 17th.
