The Avalanches have finally, officially, broken cover.
The Australian production team have been teasing fans all year, but last night (June 1st) they formally introduced their second album.
'Wildflower' will be released on July 8th, and features a lengthy list of collaborators: Danny Brown, Father John Misty, Toro Y Moi, Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux, Camp Lo, Biz Markie, Mercury Rev's Jonathan Donahue, and Warren Ellis all took part in sessions.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 the group confirmed that a few potential guests didn't make the cut, including a potentially thrilling session with Jens Lekman.
New track 'Frankie Sinatra' is online, and it features contributions from Danny Brown and MF DOOM.
