Bow Anderson’s ‘Selfish’ Is A Retro Delight

It's a punchy new single...

Bow Anderson has shared new single ‘Selfish’.

The Scottish born songwriter has a sporting background, and indeed competed at a high level before a freak accident pushed her to the side-lines. Indulging her love of music, she struck viral fame over the festive period – uploading her confessional song ‘20s’ it became a smash on TikTok, clocking up millions of views.

Clash spoke to Bow Anderson last year for a Next Wave profile, and she’s surged into 2022 on a wave of positive energy. Recently touring with Tom Walker and Ella Eyre, she’s now shared her brand new single.

Online now, ‘Selfish’ has a vintage charm, with those punchy 60s influences set alongside a playful lyric. The song is about the need “to know your worth. I hope it reminds people never to let someone walk all over you and put you down.”

The video plays on those vintage tropes, picturing Bow Anderson as a 60s housewife quietly rebelling against her circumstances.
