Boston Bun knew he had to get back to the roots of what he does.
Previously releasing on dance imprint Ed Banger, the producer decided to focus on his own Circa ’99 imprint.
Deciding to craft a full length album, the process was lengthy, and somewhat difficult – until he had a moment of inspiration.
'Missing You' came to him in a flash, yet it opened up countless avenues both old and new. He explains:
“I realised I had lots of demos that were all about love and unity. It’s quite a naïve way of thinking but in retrospect, love and unity is the foundation of house music. At the same time, I’m very aware of the world’s current state and I just want to do my part in bringing more love and unity into the world in the best way I know how. And that’s what I want to do with this album.”
Blazing house music with a sunshine feel, it pushes those twin themes of "love and unity" to the forefront.
The video is pretty neat, too – crafted by a mysterious videographer known only as Bloomfield Productions, it traces BMX bikers across the streets of Philadelphia.
