Canadian indie rockers Born Ruffians are feeling guilty – and they need your help.
Need to get something off your chest? Well Born Ruffians are here to help. A caring, sharing kind of group the indie rockin’ trio are gearing up to release their second album but seem to be troubled by something.
New album ‘Say It’ is about getting something off your chest, with new material being inspired by the need to just come out and explain your feelings.
Now the Canadian group are inviting you to join them. Creating a special module on their official website, Born Ruffians are asking you to confess your feelings – whether it’s funny, painful or downright bizarre.
You have to say it to win it. The best entries will be judged by Born Ruffians themselves, with the winner scooping a a signed Epiphone acoustic guitar and a host of other prizes including signed vinyl, gig tickets and more.
In addition to this, everyone who enters will be given a live version of ‘I Need A Life’. Born Ruffians will drop in from time to time to comment on your messages, as well as leaving a few of their own.
You can submit your messages in three ways:
1. Submit your message on the site itself
2. Post it on twitter @bornruffians with the hashtag #sayit
3. Pop your ‘Say It’ message into a box at selected live shows
Released through Warp Records, ‘Say It’ is a superb return from Born Ruffians. The album will be preceded by the single ‘What To Say’ on May 24th, released on limited edition seven inch and digital formats.
Born Ruffians are due to release ‘Say It’ on May 31st.
