Boris Johnson claims to be a fan of The Clash in a new video.
The Conservative leader and current Prime Minister – although both could change in the coming weeks – has just shared a new campaign video, mirroring Vogue-style questioning.
Asked about his favourite band, Boris Johnson stutters before responding with The Clash, a band whose left-leaning politics are evident to anyone with eyes and ears.
We're not sharing the clip, but here's a screenshot.

Much like David Cameron's supposed fondness for The Smiths, news of Boris Johnson's attempt to co-opt The Clash into his worldview sent the internet into bedlam.

Please, Mick Jones @BigAudioDyn Paul Simonon or Topper Headon, inform Boris Johnson (as Johnny Marr did when David Cameron claimed to be a Smiths fan) that he's not ALLOWED to like The Clash.
(I'd challenge the cunt to name more than 2 Clash songs off the top of his head anyway)
