Leeds-based songwriter Bored At My Grandmas House has shared new single ‘Inhibitions’.
Out now on Clue Records / EMI, the new single follows the exemplary promise of her debut EP. Elevating her skills and amplifying her talents, ‘Inhibitions’ blends dream pop textures with some subtle gothic elements.
Reminiscent of those golden singles by The Cure, it’s shot through with light, the slightly raw appeal of the production allowing the song to breathe a little further.
A song of tension and release, ‘Inhibitions’ marks Bored At My Grandas House out as something special. She comments…
“I wrote it from a place of reflection and frustration. It’s about feeling anxious day to day and watching my own inhibitions get in the way of everyday life and the things I want to achieve. It’s a feeling that was new to me and something that I felt I had no control over, written to reflect a time when I didn’t feel like my authentic self.“
Tune in now.
