Check Out Our Exclusive Preview

Legendary British dance collective Bomb The Bass are set to release their new album “Future Chaos” through !K7, and you can listen to excerpts exclusively on Clashmusic.com!

Formed in 1987 from a loose collective of figures on the London club scene, Bomb The Bass has been effectively helmed by Tim Simenon for the bulk of its history. The band’s debut single “Beat Dis” became a seminal release, acting as a springboard for over 20 years of exciting experiments in dance culture.

Over the years Tim Simenon has won over may detractors with his heavy, sample lead approach. Mid 90s single “Bug Powder Dust” was a homage to the Beat writer William Burroughs, and the ever contrary DJ followed this by composing the theme tune to the remake of classic sitcom “Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased)”.

The new album has been two years in the making, with Simenon announcing in 2006 that it had been recorded only to scrap his work and begin again. Surrounded by a loose group of musicians, Bomb The Bass remains his brainchild and the new album is a fascinating document of a clubland institution.
