Boj And Odumodublvck Link On ‘JABO’

A languid dancefloor excursion...

English-Nigerian artist Boj returns with new single ‘JABO’, featuring compatriot Odumodublvck.

Produced by Grammy-nominated Rage (Ayra Starr, Davido, King Promise) ‘JABO’ (which translates to ‘fall Down’) is a smooth, Alté-inspired serenading groove – the second collaboration between Nigerian heavyweights after ‘Olufunmi Reimagined’. Following the Adekunle Gold-assisted ‘Love Garden‘, Boj continues to render in lush, dreamlike brushtrokes on ‘JABO’ – a mellifluous dancefloor heater that moves away from Afro-pop anthemics to something more reined-in and sensory.

Boj released his debut album ‘Boj on the Mic almost a decade ago. He went on to collaborate with the likes of WizKid, Skepta and AjeButter ahead of his Headie-award-winning ‘Gbagada Express‘, which featured Davido, Ayra Starr, Mr Eazi, Fireboy and BNXN alongside UK rap luminaries Enny and Knucks. Boj released the sequel ‘Gbagada Express Vol 2: Moving Mad‘ last year, cementing his status as an Alté pioneer.

Boj has since featured on Dave’s platinum-certified ‘We’re All Alone In This Together’, and headlined the Village Underground in London. He’s since returned to the capital, continuing to release music inspired by the diasporic immersion.
