The London based songwriter – fka Chloe Bodur – has shortened her name, and embraced different facets of her identity. The soulful flourish remains, with BODUR embarking on new projects, and fresh challenges.
‘Don’t Beat The Sweet Out Of My Boy’ is a reflection on masculinity, the way society places restrictions around definitions of manhood. Typically thoughtful songwriting from the Turkish-Sri-Lanken musician, she’s joined by inimitable rapper Denzel Himself on the track.
Two artists with very different styles, the overlap somehow brings fresh nuance out of each voice. BODUR comments…
