Boards Of Canada have given another hint as to what fans can expect from their new album with a special screening in Tokyo.
It began with a 12 inch single. Deposited unannounced in a New York record store, the mysterious release led to a worldwide treasure hunt which finally culminated in the news that reclusive electronic legends Boards of Canada were preparing to release a new album.
'Tomorrow's Harvest' will be unveiled next month, but until then the Warp duo are content to toy with fans. Posting a message on Twitter, the pair alerted fans to an event in Tokyo which was set to take place today (May 22nd).
Attracting a flock of fans, one enterprising soul even set up a web camera and broadcast the event on UStream.
A pre-prepared screen lit up at midnight local time, before Boards of Canada played a short clip from their upcoming album. Our verdict? It sounds like Boards of Canada. Which is no bad thing at all.
Listen to it now.
