Blue Hawaii have shared a new take on their cult track ‘I Felt Love’.
The Montreal duo emerged from the city’s network of DIY, warehouse raves, taking this energy into an alt-pop context. Recent EP ‘Under 1 House’ returned them to their roots, and ‘I Felt Love’ became a brand new calling card.
A viral phenomenon, it’s chalked up more than four million streams through word of mouth, sparking a slew of remixes.
German producer Salzbauer placed his bootleg take on Bandcamp, and it quickly caught the pair’s attention. Blue Hawaii have given the producer’s Rave Edit an official release, and it’s a stellar re-working of their bold original.
Turning the colour up to 100, Salzbaeur injects some heady rave energy, while also nodding to avant pop talents such as A. G. Cook.
