Bloomsday Shares ‘Artichoke’, ‘Object Permanence’

Two doses of lovelorn indie pop...

Bloomsday has shared two new tracks, ‘Artichoke’ and ‘Object Permanence’.

The New York based songwriter – real name  Iris James Garrison – will release new album ‘Heart Of The Artichoke’ this summer, with the release landing on June 7th via Bayonet.

Ahead of this, Bloomsday has shared two new songs. ‘Artichoke’ is a cute love song, with the lyrics contrasting the blossoming of a relationship to cooking an artichoke – you gotta find the heart, y’see.

All billowing melodies and heart-on-sleeve vocals, it comes with a neat video directed by Desdemona Dallas.

Slightly more direct, ‘Object Permanence’ is a song about reflection, and allowing yourself space to truly absorb and embrace what you have in your life.

In Bloomsday’s words, the song “is about taking a moment to see what you have and admiring the life you’ve built. So much perspective can get lost in the constant push to move up and forward, that it can be hard to feel accomplished and satisfied with the present.”

Tune in now.
