'Fields' was performed by Third Coast Percussion...

Blood Orange will release a modern classical album later this year.

Dev Hynes seems to be in a fruitful creative spell, matching his regular collaborative work with some incredible solo endeavours.

New mixtape 'Angel's Pulse' is out now, and it will be followed by another about-turn from the fascinating New York based artist.

Incoming album 'Fields' is a modern classical endeavour, with Dev Hynes' work set to be performed by the quartet Third Coast Percussion.

Dev Hynes has a close relationship with the ensemble, having previously worked on a performance last year, 'Fields' will be released on October 11th via Chicago non-profit classical label Cedille Records.

Most people know @devhynes for his brilliant work as #BloodOrange. But Dev has a whole other side to his creative life. He’s written music for artists ranging from @solangeknowles___ to @skyferreira to @carlyraejepsen. He composed the soundtrack for #paloaltomovie. He has performed alongside the legendary @philip.glass. We’re beyond excited to be premiering a big new piece by Dev this weekend for our project with @hubbardstreet. Sept 27, 29, 30 at @harristheaterchicago. Roll up and check out this great new music. . . . #thirdcoastpercussion #hubbardstreetdance #tcpcommissions #tcpcollaborations . . . @emmaportner @movementartis @jonboogz @lilbuckdalegend
