Blonder Drops Killer Summer Jam ‘Lean’

Synth-pop with real post-punk leanings...

It's summer and we don't know whether to feel happy or sad.

Sure, the weather has improved, but – in case you hadn't noticed – there's a rather important UK-wide vote taking place tomorrow.

American artist Blonder seems to have our mood nailed. New cut 'Lean' opens with some spacious Factory Records style guitar, sounding more than a little like some lost Section 25 demo.

But then the drums kick in, and the whole thing lifts into a synth-pop jam that is half-euphoria and half longing for something past, with impeccable production from Porches' Aaron Maine.

It's difficult to explain, but then everything right now is.

Tune in below.
