UK indie giants Bloc Party have announce a series of very special dates for January 2009 that will take in just four British cities.
The London group recently released their latest album “Intimacy” as a download on August 21st – it will be followed by a physical copy on October 27th. The material was recorded with two producers – Paul Epworth and Jacknife Lee – and was debuted at festivals across the UK this summer.
New single “Talons” will be released on October 20th. A song that was written and recorded with the rest of “Intimacy” it nonetheless does not feature on the album. A news writer’s nightmare, this band.
Bloc Party’s third album “Intimacy” may well be their best yet. Whilst it expands their sound into new areas, the album nonetheless retains the urgent appeal of their now seminal debut album “Silent Alarm”. A mature work, it highlights the sonic strides the band have made.
