Bloc Party Showcase New Tracks

Play Stunning Show In London

Red hot indie rockers Bloc Party have showcased new material during a one off show in London last night (September 30th).

Bloc Party released their new album ‘Intimacy’ as a download last month, but have rarely played the material live. The four piece played a huge set at London venue The Forum last night (September 30th) and unveiled much of the new album.

In superb live form, the band mixed new material with now classic songs from previous albums ‘Silent Alarm’ and ‘A Weekend In The City’.

Bloc Party played new single ‘Talons’, before dedicating the track ‘Better Than Heaven’ to their American fans. Frontman Kele Okereke said “this next song is dedicated to all the Americans in the place. Let’s not worry about the bad times coming. Let’s have a good time,” the frontman said, drawing reference to the US’s recent economic problems.

The physical release of the new Bloc Party album ‘Intimacy’ is set for October 27th, with a full UK to kick off in the New Year.
