Bloc Party have announced that their new single, ‘One More Chance’, is set to be released this week through Wichita Records. The single is produced by Jacknife Lee who also worked on their previous albums ‘Intimacy’ and ‘A Week In The City’, and is also known for his work with REM.
The single begins with a bouncy electronic beat before Okereke’s lamenting voice rides over it to give a classic Bloc Party sound with a modern edge. The video features members of the band observing characters who all emanate a kind of Lynchian heir of tragedy. The band are set to perform the track as second headliners on the main stage of Reading and Leeds festivals. They play Leeds on Saturday 29th August and Reading on Sunday 30 August and follow this by embarking on their biggest UK tour to date, the month long Bloctober tour:
