Blink 182 Reform

Band present award at Grammys

Massively successful punk-pop trio Blink 182 have team up again to present an award at the Grammys – five years after a fractious split.

The group dominated the pop landscape with a series of catchy singles and amusing videos, with their song ‘All The Small Things’ remaining an MTV staple a number of years after it was first released.

The group’s founding members Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge last appeared together onstage in December 2004. In 2005 the band announced a hiatus, with DeLonge and Hoppus barely on speaking terms.

Travis Barker’s plane crash last year appears to be the sparking point for the group’s reunion. Barker was travelling from South Carolina when his plane skidded off the runway and caught fire.

The Learjet was completely destroyed, and Barker suffered extensive burns. Four people were killed in the crash, with Barker requiring emergency treatment.

A message on the band’s site confirms a full reunion is on the cards, with the band currently work on material for a proposed new album.
